Easter breakfast

by Sofia   -   in Good things for kids  Party planning

Granted, Easter is mostly about chocolate eggs and other treats but Easter breakfast can be cute and good for you too. Especially if you love fruit and berries like we do. On Sunday morning the girls also got their baskets at the breakfast table and adored them.

Here are the little fruity things we had. The inspiration is valid all year round for some extra motivation to eat one´s daily 5.

This bunny face has some unfortunate whiskers. I´m sorry. But the girls thought the idea was cute!

Maybe some little eggs too…

I hope you had a great Easter. We spent time with family eating lamb as we traditionally do and went to see some farm animals. We also hid some surprise eggs for the girls to find in our apartment and played Peter Rabbit dominoes. We read books and took long baths and enjoyed the sunny weather outside. On Saturday night when we were all knackered we had a blini pick nick on the living room floor instead of a proper dinner. We bought the blinis ready made at a deli counter and served them with smetana, roe and smoked salmon. We even had a candle and opened a bottle of white wine. So much better than sitting at the table! We also painted Easter eggs and did all kinds of relaxing and fun things together. Now it´s time for some green smoothies for a while as I´m feeling the chocolate overload in my head.

p.s. I know when I say painting eggs and relaxing in the same sentence you may think I´m nuts until your kids have reached the miracle ages of at least 4. But trust me it gets from messy and basically just helping out to doing it together and enjoying the process.
