Crafting with bunnies part one

Tervetuloa Lattemamman pupuviikolle. Tällä viikolla blogissa paljon kaikenlaista pupuaiheista. Me olemme tyttöjen kanssa suuria pupujen ystäviä. Kaikki pupujutut ovat meidän mielestämme kovin suloisia. Erityisesti Petteri Kani ja Bellen pupuystävä Boo ovat meidän mielestämme ihania, mutta kaikki muutkin puput kyllä saavat sydämemme sykkimään hieman hurjemmin. Olen jopa omistanu pupuille kokonaisen Pinterest kansion, sen verran ne minua ihastuttavat.

Mikäpä olisikaan parempi aika pupuaiheisten asioiden hankkimiseen kuin pääsiäinen. Pääsiäisen aikaan kaupat täyttyvät pupujutuista ja kaikki eivät edes ole välttämättä vain pääsiäiseen sopivia, vaan käyvät pupufaneille ympäri vuoden. Myös pupu askarteluja on blogit pullollaan. Mekin teimme viime viikolla muutaman pupuaihesen pikku projektin. Ne ovat kaikki helppoja printtaa, leikkaa ja liimaa- tyyppisiä askarteluja joihin menee korkeintaan noin puolisen tuntia aikaa loppusiivous mukaan lukien. Eli juuri sopivia pikkuisia käden töitä arki-iltoihin kun on kiva puuhata vähän jotain yhdessä mutta energia ei oikein riitä maaleihin, kuumaliimoihin ja valtavaan määrään sotkua. Tänään tehdään serviettirenkaita ja seuraavaksi sitten jotain muuta kivaa ja helppoa!

My girls love bunnies. We have a lot of bunny related things in our home from Boo ( Belle´s bestie of course) to Peter Rabbit and all kinds of non famous bunnies too. So crafting bunny things is a given for us but Easter time makes it so easy as there are all sorts of free printable templates with cute bunnies on them around this time of the year. Cotton Candy and I just made some cute napkin rings for dinner the other night and other bunny crafts too so I thought I´d share incase you would like to try these in your home. I´m not the craftiest person on earth so all these templates make it so much easier for me to create cute things with my kids. So I´m super thankful to whomever has the skills to make these! First of the napkin rings and tomorrow something else…

I found the templates for these here. So just print, cut and glue. If you want them sturdier either print them on a thicker paper or glue on some card stock and cut. We just used a regular strength copier paper as these were used for one dinner with family only.

Lemony cake

I was dreaming about this lemony cake already a long time ago but there was always something else cooking in the kitchen. Then I decided on the first day of Spring that today is a day for pink parrot tulips, yellow daffodils, pretty green pea soup and a zesty lemon cake. And so it was and it got baked. It´s a simple recipe but the taste is incredible.

And look at the light outside! I don´t remember being this happy about the Spring light ever ( well except for every year). I can already feel the sun actually warming my face and then it´s just a hop, skip and a week or two before the birds start chirping. I´m literally busting in my seams for the thought of Spring this year. Just like every year it makes me want to change the colours in the house ( What colours? you ask… Is your house not beige, grey and white? you say and then you nod and see that I need a dash of colour in here). But today it shall be a pink table cloth with yellow flowers and the cake that colours your soul bright yellow with happiness!

The dress of her dreams

Viime kesänä teimme pienen päiväretken vanhaan Porvooseen ja tietenkin kävimme Riimikon ihanassa lelukaupassa ihailemassa kaikkia aarteita. Siellä Purkka näki mielestään maailman ihanimman Frozen mekon. Minunkin mielestäni se oli erityisen kaunis ollakseen lasten naamiaisasu. Valitettavasti mekkoa oli vain yksi aivan liian iso koko jäljellä joten se jäi ostamatta. Enkä tietenkään painanut merkin nimeä muistiin. Purkka on sen jälkeen puhunut siitä oikeastaan koko ajan ja kirjoitti jopa joulupukille tästä aivan erityisestä Frozen mekosta. Mistään en löytänyt enää yhtä kivaa ja aloin jo luopua toivosta. Kunnes lähdimme retkelle Turkuun. Siellä visiittiin kuului tietenkin piipahdus Casagranden lelukauppaan joka on ollut jo 100 vuotta olemassa. Kiertelimme liikettä ja kun pääsimme kassalle asti niin huomasimme yhtäkkiä sen takana osittain vielä pusseissa ihania naamiaisasuja jotka olivat juuri saapuneet ja niitä ei oltu vielä ehditty purkaa esille. Ja siinä se oli, Purkan unelmien mekko! Tottakai ostimme sen mukaamme ja sen tuoma onni on ollut valtavan suuri!
