September in the air

I love Fall. The pumpkin spice, the foliage, candles & a roaming fireplace. I love wrapping myself in soft and comforting cashmere and getting out my pretty umbrella & shiny wellies for rainy days. I have always loved Fall fashion better than summer clothes. I often start watching an old familiar tv-show again like Downton Abbey preferably while sipping tea from my favourite tea cup. when I come home from work I like to put a light on on all the lamps we have on each windowsill so that passer by in the darkening night have some pretty city lights to look at. I also love to look at these lights in other people´s apartments imagining who lives there. I love going for a run on a windy night and then soaking up in a hot bath. I love having these comforting things around me. On weekends we are more often in the city so we can make breakfast plans with friends or go to the playground with kids. And Fall makes me want to make stews or roasted vegetable soups for dinner.

Have a fun weekend

Wow, I have been covered in dust and what not this week, unpacking the rest of our things. Yesterday everything was finally done, silver polished, towels washed and tumbled etc. and I welcomed our cleaning lady to finish the job as I headed over to our temporary digs to pack up what we have here. More packing awaited and then I still need to find a place for all of the things we had with us for the last 4 months. Luckily my in laws are taking the girls to the island for the weekend and we get to set up the last bits and make the beds etc. so they can move in on Sunday to what feels like a new home. 

We also have a big birthday party coming up on Saturday night ( 4 of our friends turn 40). Can´t wait to dance with all our friends. I am getting through all this with the thought in my head that on Saturday well before the party I will be soaking in my bath tub with a glass of champagne in my hand.
