Bread rolls
by Sofia - in Cooking Good things for kids
These super easy bread rolls were made by Cotton Candy and her friend on Sunday. We served them with my sweet potato and ginger soup ( the recipe is here on the blog). I have shared a porridge roll recipe before but these are perhaps even easier ( or just as easy).
Bread Rolls
5 dl lukewarm milk, water or sour milk
10 dl of bread roll flour ( whole wheat)
2 tsp salt
2 tbls maple syrup
11g ( one sachet) dry yeast
1. Mix the dry ingredients. Add lukewarm milk/water, maple syrup & oil. Knead it all in a stand in mixer or by hand.
2. Let the dough rise under a clean towel until about doubled in size.
3. Roll the dough in to whatever shapes you prefer ( as you can see the girls made some teddies etc.). Let it rise on the baking sheet under the towel for a while.
4. Use a maple syrup and water or an egg wash on the rolls and bake in an 225°c oven for about 10-15 minutes depending on your roll size.
Enjoy warm with butter! Or they make great sandwiches to go filled with salad, turkey or cheese and cucumber & tomato.
