En suite

I finally got around to taking some pictures of our home thanks to a little nudge from Clara of One Design Club in England who was kind enough to want to feature me in one of her “at home with” posts. It will be out soon in March, I will let you know when if you might be interested to read what my answers to her five interior questions were or to see a few more glimpses of our home. And as I had promised you some pictures of the new little marble table in our bathroom I thought I would share it at the same time. I had been looking for a little table to add there as I and the girls love taking baths and reading books or even watching an episode of our favourite show whilst in there. When I saw the ever so stylish Rebecca´s bathroom picture with a little marble side table by her bath I was sure I should need one like it too. And I found just the one on a walk with a friend. It´s actually officially a flower pot pedestal but just the perfect height and size in our bath.
En suite sounds very fancy and I guess having a walk in closet and bathroom adjoined to our bedroom is wonderful. So the room featured here is the bathroom I share with my husband and it is an continuation to our walk in closet that then continues on to our bedroom as a row of closets. We have a his and hers sink, a toilet with a sliding door for privacy in case we are there at the same time, a large shower and a bath tub.

Vekkihameen aika

Jos on omia tyttöjäni uskominen niin nyt on vekkihameiden aika. Unelma-asussa yhdistyy piké paita, vekkihame ja collegepusero. Eli käytännössä siis asu jossa voisi hyvin suunnata tennistä pelaamaan. Ihanaa sanon minä! Ajattelin käydä kurkkaamassa kuinka pieni on tästä hameesta pienin aikuisten koko, josko se olisi sopiva tytöille. Jotenkin tuntuu, että nyt oma nuoruuden pukeutumistyyli on ainakin vanhemmalla, eli meidän esi-teinillä ” tyyliä” ( kuten hän asian sanoisi). Asuun pitäsi enää lisätä maiharit tai valkoiset nahkalenkkarit, jotka ovat myös nyt edelleen kuulemma hyvät ja jos olisimme palaamassa omaan nuoruuteen niin ne ” ryppysukat” tai aerobic sukat. Muistaako kukaan niitä? Ah rakastin! Siis sukat joissa oli vähän löysät rypytetyt varret jotka rutattiin nilkkoihin.

Spring colours on the first of March

Oi ihana kevät joka saapui ryminällä viikonloppuna muistuttelemaan olemassaolostaan. Vaikka vielä pakastuisikin niin saimme ihanan muistutuksen siitä, että kesäkin vielä saapuu! Ja tämän kaiken ihanuuden lisäksi kevään värit ovat saapuneet kauppoihin ja kaunit keväiset kukat ilahduttamaan meitä. Kuka muu aikoo hankkia narsisseja pikimmiten piristykseksi nyt kun siirryimme maaliskuuhun?
Who else has noticed all the pretty pastels arriving to the stores. Spring is officially here and the Spring/ Summer collections are coming out. This year I have seen the powdery and clean pinks and baby blues with some light lime green and some lovely pale yellow. Also lilac is still going strong. So basically if you love pastels in all the hues you will be pleased. From Bonpoint to H&M. I just had to get this skirt for the girls. The cut is gorgeous and the fabric is spot on for us. Very late 80´s early 90´s. So it hits just the spot for me with nostalgia. I´m pretty sure I had something very similar from Cacharel as a kid. it would be cute with just a basic t-shirt and some sandals or espadrilles or even white sneakers.
