Mini manicures in pink
by Sofia - in Party planning
Tänään vielä muutama kuva minimanikyyribaarista, tyttöjen juhla-asuista, pienistä kiitoslahjoista kotiinviemisiksi ja kutsukortista…
Yesterday I shared our Hello Kitty party with you but today I´m still going to share a few details more. We did not have any games or such for the party as we have noticed kids this age still just enjoy playing with each other. But I did make a mini manicure bar where we painted the girls nails in two different shades of pink, they got to choose sparkly nail stickers, add some cupcake lipgloss and spritz a little Hello Kitty perfume on their hair. As I´ve said before I´m not a huge fan of little girls primping in this way but mine do love love love it so a birthday party was a great excuse to do a little pampering.
All the little guests left home with a tiny party favour as a thank you. Hello Kitty tissue paper, some Hello Kitty band aid and a little candy. For the few boys we found blue Hello Kitty slinkies and yellow bubbles to blow. I wanted to notice the boys a bit as the whole party was very pink and girlie. Not that boys can´t like “girlie” things too. But you get my point I hope.
The girls were dressed in these lovely pink dresses and head pieces my mom´s friend made for them. I love the bubble gum pink and big bow bands for their hair. We did add a bit of Hello Kitty in the form of a brooch but the dresses are obviously lovelier without. For this party the brooches made them just perfectly over the top. My mother´s friend is also going to be at the Christmas fare they are holding from Thursday to Sunday. She makes the loveliest peter pan-collars for kids but also these dresses and the cutest little skirts made to order so be sure to pop by if you want to meet her.
My brother was kind enough to design the cutest invitation for the girls and he is also the best uncle ever as he hauled a suitcase filled with Hello Kitty candy, silicone forms, knick knacks and all from Hong Kong just for the party! I´m also very thankful to my friend who helped me make the manicures and clean up after the party and obviously to my lovely friend and my sister in law for baking with me for the party! You are all awesome and I´m lucky to have such people in my life. Truly! Obviously there would be no party at all without the help from my husband who drives around getting this and that and having balloons filled and getting “excited” about huge Kitty balloons in New York and most of all taking the girls on excursions while I set up for the party. I´m lucky! And I don´t mean to sound cheesy and sentimental at all just to say I´m truly grateful!
So that party is over and done with! No more pink Kitty stuff for a while. I promise!
Have a great day!!!

Melkein maistan sokerimassan maun suussani.
Kiitos Karkki!
Loistava idea tuo minimanikyyribaari!! 🙂
Laura, se oli kyllä pikkutytöille mieluinen 🙂
