Shiny whites

Santa brought me this tooth paste and I think it´s the prettiest tooth paste I have ever seen. It is from Buly 1803 an old French pharmacy that was brought back to life by Ramdane Touhani ( a former co-owner of Cire Troudon, those amazing scented candles) and Victoire de Taillac-Touhami. As a great big fan of it´s Italian counterpart Santa Maria Di Novella and English Penhaligon´s I´m happy that the French re-instituted this old brand. So now my mornings are made even better because I can brush my teeth with this beauty…

p.s. Santa brought my husband these scented matches. They are absolutely perfect for a gentleman to use for instance in the bathroom. When you light the match it actually releases a wonderful aroma.

A morning person and a great give away

What are mornings like in your house? Hectic? Or calm and serene? Ours vary a lot but I like to do everything in my power to keep them more on the less hectic side. We choose our outfits the night before and wake up a little earlier rather than just very last minute to keep the rush away. I´m a coffee addict and have made myself believe I can not function without at least one cup. Sipping that first sip of hot frothed milk mixed with the toasty aroma of coffee is a happy moment for me. When I have enjoyed my coffee the day looks a lot better in my eyes. My other morning rituals include opening the curtains and both bedrooms windows. I leave the beds open for a while to get some fresh air in before making them. If I have the morning off I like to wonder around a while in my robe and have another cup of coffee. If the girls are not going to the nursery they also get to have breakfast in their nighties and robes and maybe even watch the morning cartoons from tv. Long mornings are so special but even a regular morning can be so much easier to face with some great coffee and a super soft robe. We got these amazingly soft fleece robes and cotton nighties from the Beach House Company and they are just perfect. I think when the summer arrives we will move these to the island to our country house. White cotton nighties are just the thing to wear on the cool rocks in the morning when running barefoot to dip our toes in the sea. And the snow white robes are the perfect outfit for lounging at the sauna´s terrace in the evening after a long swimming and sauna session.
