For the sleepy homebody

Täällä Helsingissä aamu ainakin alkoi sateisena, eikä marraskuu nyt ehkä tarjoile tällä viikolla ihan parastaan kelien puolesta, joten kotona itsensä hemmottelu ja hyvin nukutut yöunet ainakin auttavat vähän jaksamaan. Itselleni marraskuu on mieluinen kuukausi muiden joukossa, mutta tiedän, että joillekin se tuottaa haasteita. Silloin omasta hyvinvoinnistaan huolehtiminen kyllä korostuu erityisesti. Ja eikös sanota, että liikunnan ja hyvän ravinnon lisäksi tärkeää olisi hyvin nukutut yöt?

I know I´m just sharing things that I love as gift guides in the hopes Santa would read my blog. But it has worked well on previous years so I´m not giving up! These would all definitely be on my list of things to wish for as I love being home and getting cozy for a good night. And I´m pretty sure you may know someone similar to me or just deviously forward these posts to the people who buy gifts for you as ” letters for santa”.

For the sleepyhead who loves to make bedtime a luxurious event I would get a Santa Maria candle for her meditation routine called Vespro or the Notte one for her bedside table. For the ultimate night time tea some Marco Polo rouge from Marriage Frères, my favourite rooibos tea, that will not keep you up all night as it´s caffeine free. The homebody is always on the lookout for a classic pj as she uses them all the time. And the best sleeping masks ever come from Holistic Silk. The lavender scent is divine and the silk on your skin even more so. Bonus, it´s anti ageing! And your homebody will need a lovely luxurious robe to glide around the house in. I think this one looks pretty timeless but the price point is… well on point.

Christmas outfit

I´m taking a little break from the gift guides to share these dresses with you. This year I had the most trouble finding suitable dresses for my girls for the holiday season. I was just not in the mood for anything that was on offer. Until I found these dresses from Zara that were just fantastic.

Tänä vuonna koin jotenkin erityisen haasteellisena kivojen juhlamekkojen löytymisen tälle talvikaudelle. Kunnes nämä suloiset mekot löytyivät Zarasta. Ne ovat kauniit myös päällä ja sopivat tyylillisesti hyvin myös maiharin tai muun vähän kookkaamman nilkkurin kanssa.

For the hostess

Monday morning is somehow feeling like one this morning. I´m on my second cup of coffee, already dreaming of a third. Then I´ll be ready to face another week. But I have a feeling this might still end up being a good one. Always strive to be optimistic.

Today´s Christmas gift guide is for the lady who loves to host. So basically if you bought me any of these I would be very happy. Although I already have that book so don´t buy that!

Any entertaining books are always a great idea and there are so many good new ones on the market at the moment but this old one has the prettiest fabric cover thus making it a fabulous gift. Monogrammed napkins are always a good idea as a gift and these cocktail napkins would make me extremely happy. I´m always in for reviving the cocktail hour and these would look great in any bar. They come in other colours and designs too. This Diptyque candle in rose scent is extremely pretty and I would never say no to a gorgeous candle in a heavenly scent. And hand made chocolates are also always a safe bet. If you hosts friend does not like chocolate herself then they can always serve them alongside a cup of espresso for their friends. Last but definitely not least is a subscription to weekly or monthly flowers delivered to your hostess. Find a local florist who has this service and you will make someone happy for a long time. In Helsinki area at least The Floral Society delivers by subscription.
