Löysin Stockmannin herkusta niin kauniit joulukakut ennen matkalle lähtöä, että halusin ostaa ne jo etukäteen kotiin odottelemaan joulukuuta. Jos sinullakin on Italialaiset herkut mielessä niin näiden pakkaus osui kyllä ainakin minun sieluuni. Parasta näissä joulukakuissa on juurikin niiden säilyvyys, ne ovat hyviä vielä joulukuun lopussakin ja sopivat erinomaisesti niin aamulatten seuraksi, päiväkahvittelijoille kuin jälkiruoka espresson seuraksi. Aion säästää näiden laatikot ja pakata joulun jälkeen osan koristeista näihin.

… everywhere I go ( I like this, maybe a bit cheesy, version of the song). I know some have campaigns against Christmas related anything in November. But the decorations, lights, music and the general good feeling just needs more than December for most of us. If Christmas is one´s favourite holiday and it makes people giddy with joy on the darkest months of the year then it should be celebrated a bit before hand. We were obviously in very non christmassy feelings lately as we have been enjoying heaps of sun, sea and palm trees. But I did take out some of our decorations before our departure just to browse through them and to take a few pictures for this post. The girls were at home with me ( still in their nighties) so they came to have a look too and they got so excited! There is just some magic in there is there not?!
But now that it´s finally December the first I´m going full speed on all things Christmas! So hold on tight and enjoy the ride…
Ihanaa! Vihdoin ja viimein on joulukuun ensimmäinen ja voi virallisesti heittäytyä nauttimaan joulujutuista, eikö vain!? Me kaivoimme joulukoristeet esiin jo vähän ennen lomalle lähtöä. Ihan vaan kurkkasimme niitä kun kuvasin vähän jouluaiheisia juttuja valmiiksi. Tytöt olivat kanssani kotona ( vielä yökkäreissä) ja kiipesivät heti pöydän ääreen ihastelemaan joulun taikaa!

My kind of collaboration

Liberty of London does regular collaborations with other brands adorning well known products with Liberty prints. Some make me excited and some not so much but this one absolutely made me squeal with joy! My favourite party supply brand MeriMeri and Liberty have come together and made the party accessory collection of my dreams. It was not available online at first so my sweet friend who lives in London got me a few items already ( I have the best friends ever!) but now you can find it online. I´m so stocking up on these for spring parties ( that is Easter sorted) and future birthdays. My mom keeps asking me if i will ever get bored with these small flowers but they just hit the spot with me somehow. Then add some scalloped edges and tassel and bows ( they did… I swear someone was reading my mind before designing this collection) and you have one very happy Lattemamma! I´m absolutely in love! If you feel it´s ridiculous to spend money on paper plates and cups ( which is true I guess) then why not buy a Happy Birthday garland to use every year for the kids room or above the breakfast table on their special days ( I will!) or to buy a few Liberty print pinwheels or paper lanterns to hang in the kids room to keep all year around.
