Is it weird that by day three ( when I’m writing this) of 2022 I already have something on my wish list. It’s not things I necessarily need or will acquire. But I do like putting things out there in the universe. Besides we can all just need a little daydreaming and a little cuteness in our lives. And pink. I had to add something pink to one of the first posts of the year. So as I am spending my first Monday of the year in bed having an extra day off and in my pj´s past noon, why not, I do want to share these wish list items for lovely lounge mornings at home.
I feel like a French press is my next coffee thing. I love this Le Creuset stoneware one either in this ombre pink or in white. I do have an old Bodum one that does work just fine but this is very pretty and would look lovely in my kitchen. Besides I can always bring the other one to the island. Summerhouse also needs French press.
This Lenora robe looks so cozy and I obviously love the scalloped detail in the collar and the fact you can get it monogrammed. But I think these are only available in the US so perhaps in the future.
My bedside table could use this for rubbing on my hands and feet before bedtime. As I love to smell like roses.
I did a flip though of the Cordelia de Castellane book on my instagram. Mine was a lovely Christmas gift from a friend which I really like a lot. Recommended for inspiration. Except if you are a minimalist then skip this.
I hope you all have a lovely day! I am back at work but look longingly and savor in my mind all those lovely long mornings that turned in to day before I got out of my robe and got dressed. But there are always weekends for us who are not the Dowager Countess who had no clue what it meant.

Last year I got some lovely feedback for the wish lists I wrote. Let´s see if this year we could find some great ideas to gift or to write to Santa about. Let´s start with some of these favourites…
The new book about Estée Lauder looks beautfiful. Definitely on my wish list! It would be my coffee table treasure for sure.
I have been on a lookout for lovely new pj´s and I recently discovered that The White Company now ships from an EU location so no need to worry about the Brexit. They have some classic pj´s that would make a great gift.
And my favourite cashmere bed socks that I have had for years are also from there and a great gift for anyone you know who is always cold, likes to travel or loves luxurious things. So basically anyone in your life I think.
For more sweet dreams I love a silk pillowcase and a silk sleeping mask as gifts. The age I and my friends are at, we can use all the help for a good night´s sleep and as a bonus it´s a beauty product as silk leaves the moisture on your skin and no pillow marks either. I can proudly say the baby blue & white striped mask was made after my special request and I think it´s gorgeous. Besides it matches the stripy pyjama! I´ve used the silk pillowcase since this summer and it is a dream. We even got it in pink for Bubble Gum as it was her big birthday wish to sleep with mine on her big day. So we decided it was a great gift for her and she adores it. Such a lovely gift for any age. I have gifted these for friend´s birthdays too and they are always a big hit. You can even add a silk scrunchie to the mix and you have a fantastic present.

Syksyn ulkovaatetta

Meillä koulussa ulkoliikunta jatkuu tytöillä pitkälle syksyyn. Ratkaismme säänmukaisen varustelun tällä kertaa niin, että hyvällä säällä jalassa voi olla legginsit tai verkkarit ja jos sää on sateinen tai kovin tuulinen on heillä mahdollisuutena laittaa jalkaan kuorihousut. Sanon ihan suoraan, että nämä eivät saaneet tytöissä enää tässä iässä mitään kovin suurta innostusta aikaiseksi. Kukaan ei kuulemma käytä ulkohousuja. Ja kun kyselin asiasta samanikäisten äitien vanhemmilta niin näin sanovat muutkin lapset. Eli olemme nyt saavuttaneet sen pisteen jossa mieluummin ollaan vähän märissä housuissa kuin mukavasti säältä suojautuneena. No aion sinnikkäästi kuitenkin lähettää ne vaihtoehtona mukaan ulkoliikunta tunneille kun sää sitä vaatii ja jätän asukysymyksen sitten lapsen harkinnan ja opettajan ohjauksen varaan. Helppohan ne on vetää tarvittaessa sitten legginsien päälle. Muistan toki itsekin sen vaiheen kun tyyli meni edellä mukavuutta. Teini-iässä monilla oli jopa tapana olla ilman pipoa koska pipot eivät olleet silloin ” in”. Itse olen aina rakastanut hattuja ja pipoja, mutta moni kulki korvat punaisena talvipakkasella kun pipo oli vaihtoehtona niin nolo. Toki olimme varmasti jo yläasteella tässä vaiheessa. Takiksi meille valikoitui vähän lämpimämpi teddy fleece joka taas oli molempien mielestä todella kiva. Ostin asun osaset Kluuvin XXL liikkeestä, ne eivät olleet mikään setti vaan löysin ne erikseen. Koko oli reilua tai vähintäänkin kokoaan vastaavaa. Jaoin näistä kuvan instassa ja sain paljon kyselyitä mistä hakin asun joten tässä vielä kaikille yhteisesti linkit tuotteisiin…
Tämä takki oli molempien mielestä tosi kiva ja näytti hyvältä päällä.
