Grey

by Sofia   -   in Good things for kids  Shopping

We had plenty of events and festivities during this fall and they are not diminishing towards Christmas. But as plenty of these happenings were already in September and October we bought Cotton Candy a new party dress right after the Fall Winter collections came out. It was this Jacadi dress that I fell in love with and I can tell you it looks so gorgeous on her. It´s understated and timeless buts till looks festive and appropriate for all kinds of events. It´s a dress that can be worn on the town too ( I like it with grey ribbed tights and ankle booties) if you want to get a tad dressed up but also goes well to school Christmas parties or music recitals. We will have some other new festive outfits for this winter too that I will then share a bit later on.

I like that this dress has long sleeves which is not that common in kids clothing but is a tad shorter than most party dresses. This model looks adorable on little girls. And you can imagine the bow and the collar make me smile too! Bubble Gum loves her sister´s old party dress that is in the same colour so she was happy to wear that for all our occasions so far. Grey is one of my favourite colours. I use it a lot myself but I think it´s also lovely on children. It goes well with pink and white but also looks perfect with navy blue or red. I guess grey and red is a quite a Christmassy colour combination but ” this the season” so go for it I say…

Have a fantastic day!

My kind of collaboration

by Sofia   -   in Party planning  Shopping

Liberty of London does regular collaborations with other brands adorning well known products with Liberty prints. Some make me excited and some not so much but this one absolutely made me squeal with joy! My favourite party supply brand MeriMeri and Liberty have come together and made the party accessory collection of my dreams. It was not available online at first so my sweet friend who lives in London got me a few items already ( I have the best friends ever!) but now you can find it online. I´m so stocking up on these for spring parties ( that is Easter sorted) and future birthdays. My mom keeps asking me if i will ever get bored with these small flowers but they just hit the spot with me somehow. Then add some scalloped edges and tassel and bows ( they did… I swear someone was reading my mind before designing this collection) and you have one very happy Lattemamma! I´m absolutely in love! If you feel it´s ridiculous to spend money on paper plates and cups ( which is true I guess) then why not buy a Happy Birthday garland to use every year for the kids room or above the breakfast table on their special days ( I will!) or to buy a few Liberty print pinwheels or paper lanterns to hang in the kids room to keep all year around.

My mom and her friends have their yearly christmas fair this weekend. They always have the most gorgeous things and I end up wanting pretty much everything. I shared a few of my favourites yesterday but these are the girls favourites! And maybe mine too. So lovely! My mom´s friend hand sows these little handbags and plenty of other pretty things too. Our girls are little ladies, they love everything girly and handbags are no exception. We are huge fans of Liberty prints. I think little floral fabrics are just so pretty on little girls.  The girls wanted to pack their tiny toys in these for toy day in pre-school ( they always bring their own toys on Mondays) and they wore them to a charity fair on Sunday to hold their little wallets. They had saved some money and bought little things for themselves to help kids less fortunate. Bubble Gum found a cute plush toy bunny she named Raisin ( Rusina). It looked very much pre-loved which always makes something that more special ( and means mummy runs it through the plush animal spa a.k.a washing machine before it ends up as a sleeping buddy).
