We left to London to see if we can find our friend Paddington Bear there. We took Lattemamma, Bubble Gum and Cotton Candy with us because they asked so nicely. Have a great weekend!

Lähdimme Lontooseen etsimään ystäväämme karhuherra Paddingtonia. Hyvää viikonloppua!

Uudet tossut

by Sofia   -   in Good things for kids  Shopping

Ostin omamme Alex and Alexasta.

Nuts for Paddington

Little bear, lovely manners, a duffel coat and a red hat. What is there not to love. Little miss Bubble Gum has fallen head over heels for Paddington Bear. She has always had a thing for teddy bears. I even hosted her a Winnie the Pooh party on her second birthday ( and her next one will probably be teddy related if she´s still in to them next year). So when we heard Paddington movie was coming out I showed her the trailer. After that she watched the trailer a hundred times. So when the movie finally came out in Finland a few weeks ago we went to see it the next day. It was really good, even for us parents. Only after the movie we realised that there was an age suggestion for the movie and the girls might have been a bit young to see it yet. But they did not find it too scary, or maybe it was mom and dad on both sides that made it less scary. But had I realised it was not recommended for little kids had we not taken the girls for sure.  Anyway the movie was great and I recommend it! We are double excited about the whole thing as this weekend we are flying over to London to see my friend and her baby ( as I mentioned) and get to see where Paddington really lives! I found some cute Paddington activity books for the girls that I´m saving for the flight and we actually found some Paddington games for the iPad too ( this one which has an audio book too and this one we really liked that has cute games like making orange marmalade and such). And we have been reading our Paddington book already before the movie was out. If you are too young to see the movie and even if you saw it I highly recommend the books. Paddington is such a lovely well mannered little bear who wishes for the best for everyone. A great role model especially as, like in real life, things don´t always go as he had hoped for but he still tries his best and it usually turns out alright in the end. Because we all know we fail sometimes and perfection is not reality but the fact that we have good intentions and we try is what really matters.

Did you see the movie? Did you like it? Are you a Paddington fan? I have always been!

My favourite orange marmalade. The girls have asked to make our own so I think we might try this recipe one day.
