Softer than soft

by Sofia   -   in Good things for kids  Shopping

Organized grocery shopping

by Sofia   -   in Cooking

I may not be many things but I would like to think that organised would be on the list of things I am. It just makes everyday life a little easier to have things somewhat under control. But when it comes to groceries and dinner I tend to go with the flow. Menus are often based on whatever looks good and fresh at the market that day. I look for recipes I want to try in magazines, cookbooks and online and obviously we have the family favourites on rotation like I presume everyone does. But now I have taken action and decided to plan the weekly menus even better from now on. I started ordering our groceries online ( I know I´m so behind, but the thing is I actually like grocery shopping)! So now I decided to plan the coming weeks menu in advance and then order everything ready. I have the weekly planner we use for our family where I write down all our hobbies and such so I write down the weeks menu there after deciding on different recipes ( I have a Pinterest folder full of recipes to try if you are looking for inspiration). Then I check my pantry as to what I have and what I will need and then make my order. I have a grocery shopping list on hand for the things I don´t find online so we can pick those up with the freshly baked bread and such so I pencil those down at the same time to keep track. I also stock up on basic things like milk, eggs, yoghurt, some fruit and veggies and paper towel etc. online. Very handy!

( I must apologise for the bad lighting in the pictures as I had very little time and a very dark moment of the day to take these. But it was either this or nothing…)

Baby Blue Kangaroo

by Sofia   -   in Random

I have always loved Trousselier. They made music boxes and mobiles even when I was a little girl. And I always loved loved loved music boxes and still do. The sound is just so soothing almost regardless of the tune. My girls recently received a little addition to the clan of cousins. He is the most adorable little boy. We got him this soft musical box as a welcome home from the hospital gift to keep in his crib and to listen to before falling asleep. Oh how babies make me feel all warm and fuzzy!
