Christmas breakfast

I love waking up on Christmas morning with all the excitement buzzing in the air and it prolongs to the next few days! This year I´m serving breakfast on Boxing day or on the 27th with a brunch style. I will set the table with a pitcher of freshly squeezed orange juice and make the best scrambled eggs and turkey bacon with roasted tomatoes and sautéed mushrooms. I will bake high stacks of pancakes to be served with cinnamon infused maple syrup and and fresh berries. Or maybe some cranberry muffins. I will lay out a big bowl of  strawberries. And then I will set the table with these gorgeous Christmas crackers from Liberty. I will serve champagne and lots and lots of good coffee or tea.

Nämä ihanan värikkäät paukkakaramellit ovat Libertyn ja ne säästän joulun välipäiville brunssikattausta piristämään. Jouluksi löysin Papershopista meidän illan kattaukseen sävyiltään täydellisesti sopivat marmoroidusta paperista valmistetut versiot. Niitä ei näyttänyt olevan lainkaan nettikaupassa, enkä ehtinyt teille edes kuvaa napata kun on vielä niin pimeää, mutta jos jollakin on vielä hakusessa tällaiset pieniä aarteita sisältävät kattauksen ilostuttajat niin siellä oli!

Set the table

We had a bit of a birthday party frenzy going on yesterday. I will post more about that on another day. But I thought we´d concentrate on Christmas now as it´s only a few days ahead. I have so many posts in my drafts and so little time. But I´ll just save a few for the days between Christmas and New Year then. I´m hosting the Christmas day dinner in our home this year ( as I most likely mentioned). So I have been planning the table setting for quite some time now. On Friday I shared the tutorial for the easy centrepiece and mentioned I´ll have plenty of votives along our table to give it that magical little twinkling. I´m setting the table with a big white linen tablecloth and white china. The serving ware will be silver and china. For the place “cards” I got some clear glass baubles and I have written everyone´s name on them with a washable pen. I´ll try to remember to share a picture of the whole table setting after Christmas. But for now I´d like to share a few from these baubles as I thought you might want to copy my idea…
