About a bag

Laukuista oli toivottu kovasti blogikirjoitusta. Laukku viimeistelee asukokonaisuuden ja siinä kulkee mukana kaikki meille tärkeä joka päivä ( rakastan muuten lukea lehtijuttuja joissa esitellään ihmisten käsilaukkujen sisältöä, miten ne ovatkin niin mielenkiintoisia?).
Tässä ovat muutamat tämän hetkiset suosikkini…
Laukun ei tarvitse missään nimessä olla minkään ” merkkinen” ollakseen hyvä ja kaunis laukku. Itse pidän siitä, että laukku joka on päivittäisessä käytössä on nahkaa. Tähän Mark & Grahamin laukkuun saa valita itse monogrammin tyylin ja värivaihtoehtojakin on laukuissa useampi. Klassinen ns. tote bag. Tämä käy mielestäni lähes asuun kuin asuun arkena. Ja laukkuun mahtuu varmasti kaikki tarvittava ( tämä kävisi varmasti myös vaippaikäisen äidille hyvin). Äitini aina naureskelee, että rakastan tällaisia taskuvarkaan unelmalaukkuja joissa ei ole mitään kiinnitystä. Laukku on ollut jo pitkään itselläni ostoslistalla, kunhan vaan osaisin vihdoin valita sen värin… Ainakaan sitä ei ole hinnalla pilattu!
Unelmieni “tote bag” olisi tämä Bottega Venetan punoskassi nutrian harmaanruskeana ( olisikohan se joku väri?!). Sellaisena elegantin harmaana joka taittuu enemmän ruskeaan kuin kylmään betoniin. Olen varmasti nähnyt sellaisen joskus.
Tämä Pradan Saffiano on tämän hetken suosikkilaukkuni. Se on klassinen ja ” ladylike”, mutta silti sen voi yhdistää yhtä hyvin ( tai jopa paremmin) valkoisiin Conversen tennareihin ja raitapaitaan kuin jakkupukuun.

Cashmere care

You know how I love cashmere… I think everyone does. It´s soft and feels truly luxurious on the skin. But the thing with cashmere is it needs special attention and care. But how to care for your cashmere?
♥ Rule of thumb is it can be washed in the machine on the wool/ hand wash cycle if it´s not see through thin. If you can see through the fabric then it should be hand washed.
♥ If you have the energy by all means had wash all your cashmeres. Here is some how to-instuctions.
♥ Always use delicate detergent especially made for woollen/ silk/ cashmere clothes.
♥ Cashmere is a very soft material so even the best quality can form some pilling. If you have a lot of cashmere clothes and you want to keep them looking neat, a lint remover or a pilling comb, stone or brush is a must.
♥ Protect your cashmere clothes from bugs by using cedar wood pieces or cedar scented sachets and by adding extra cedar wood oil or a spray on the wood pieces every now and then.
♥ Do not over wash. Woollen items do well when aired in fresh outdoors after use instead of washing all the time.

The Laundress New York has products that appeal to my taste but cashmere brushes are probably just as available anywhere else.
My go-to cashmere wash. ( It doubles as a make-up brush detergent)

Bunny Bakes

To end our bunny week I wanted to share some of my favourite bunny bakes from around the web. We will for sure try some of these with the girls…
These cuter than cute cupcakes are designed for little hands to make. If you bake the cupcakes ready and also make the frosting ahead then these are a fun and fast afternoon activity!
