Mr Bunny

Löysin Turun retkellämme vanhasta hallista pääsiäiskoristeisiimme uuden ystävän, herra Jänön. Se pakataan tietenkin pääsiäisen jäkeen silkkipaperiin ja odottamaan seuraavaa vuotta. Vaikka herra Jänö näyttääkin suklaapupulta on se oikeasti keraaminen joten sitä saa ihailla vuodesta toiseen. Haaveissani oli tehdä herra Jänön ympärille kukka-asetelma sammaleesta, narsisseista, hyasinteistä, sipulitulppaaneista, pienistä tinapaperilla päällystetyistä suklaamunista ja vastaavista. Ehkäpä ensi vuonna! Tänä vuonna Jänö vielä ihmettelee paikkaansa ihan sellaisenaan.

Lasinen pupuastia on Leila´s General Storesta. Se on tosin jo muutaman vuoden vanha.

Cookie jar

Minulla on ystävä joka sanoi, että hänen haavekuvissaan hän on se äiti joka tekee pastakoneella pastaa arki-illalliselle. Minun haaveissani olin se äiti jonka keittiöstä löytyy keksipurkillinen itsetehtyjä keksejä. Sitten eräänä päivänä sen aika oli koittanut…

Coffe Table musings

Yes there is such a thing! We have a fairly large coffee table situated between two sofas. I´m always and constantly changing what I keep on it. Sometimes I feel less is more, like a few large books, a scented candle, some seashells or corals and maybe an orchid in a lovely pot. Then other times I feel more is really more when it comes to styling a coffee table. I love browsing through photos of coffee table layouts on Pinterest that have plenty of books, candles and all sorts of things and I have a friend who´s coffee table always looks lush and is filled with colourful books, different votives and candles etc. So for now I decided to add a bit of the more is more aesthetic on mine too. After our very gently hued Christmas I felt some colour was in order for the New Year.
