A warm summer night. Alone on the island with little fairies.
A slight breeze in the air blowing their light floral dresses around.
Spinning, spinning, hands in the air. Eyes closed.
I will savour this moment of my girls dancing in the evening light for ever.
I will hold this memory close to my heart and when it´s cold and dark and grey I will close my eyes and look at them and fill myself with joy and peace and love.
I will smile a smile a woman with a full heart can smile.
As they are mine, those little girls dancing with so much joy of life. They are happy and so I am happy too.
There is nothing I can buy with money for them, no place I can travel to with them that is more important than just being with them. Joining in on the dance. Just letting go. Swinging them around in my arms and holding them close to me. There is nothing as important as letting them climb up to my lap and cuddling for a long time. As long as it takes until they continue their explorations. As I know that they will not want to be there forever. They will grow older and more independent. But this I will remember. That I promise.

Have a barkin´mad and fun weekend

Ihan alkuun haluan pahoitella, että viikon blogimerkinnät ovat olleet vain englanniksi. Kirjoittelisin mielelläni molemmilla kielillä, mutta aina aika ei yksinkertaisesti riitä, varsinkin kun suurin osa päivästä kuluu rannalla merilasia etsien tai päiväkahvipullaa leipoen ( minulla on ensi viikoksi aivan mielettömän hyvä kardemummakakun ohje). Iltasatujakin on luettu useampi tunti. On ihana käpertyä ripi rinnan peiton alle, kun ulkona sade ropisee kattoon, ja lukea Marikin ja Liisan puuhista.
Onko sinulla ollut ihana viikko? Meillä oli hirmuisen suloisia vieraita saaressa tällä viikolla. Aivan erityisen söötti oli tämä pieni kummityttöni joka kuvissa näkyy. Dolly riemastutti tyttöjä niin kovasti. Hän saunoi meidän muiden tyttöjen kanssa ylälauteella ja sai maistaa juustoa tyttöjen kädestä palkkioksi pikku tempuista. Mikä söpöliini ♥ ♥ ♥!
My goddaughter was visiting us on the island this week ( with her mommy). She is the most adorable little thing. She loves to go to the sauna and sit on the upper bench and she loves to look at squirrels and adores cheese. In human age she is already about 50 years old so she´s not a baby anymore… Yes she is a cute little dog! Say hello to Dolly!

It´s a forever kind of a thing…

I wish you all a very lovely weekend! Do you have some special plans? We just started reading chapter books for bedtime with Cotton Candy ( Bubble Gum still prefers more photos to keep her engaged so we have had to send her to daddy after a while) so we are looking forward to continuing our story. We are reading Astrid Lindgren´s Madicken which is one of my favourites from my childhood. It´s interesting to read it after all these years and realise it´s like a story of my own kids. The little girls in the few illustrations even look like ours! We will also take full advantage of nature´s offerings and eat our weight in berries and peaches.
