Wardrobe wonderings

Last spring when I pulled some outfits together for children you asked me to do the same for adults alike. So now I finally have. I made it a tad easier for myself by getting all the photos and so all the pieces of clothing from one company online. They do deliver around the world, have reasonable prizes, great quality and styles I like. The thing here is, that no one probably buys all the key items   again every year so when you have a great winter coat or a good trench coat ( I have had the same Burberry trench for 12 years now) you don´t need to invest in it again for some time. So these are just some ideas for great key pieces that you can mix and match to build outfits for the office and even some downtime.

I think investing in some quality shoes and a good handbag makes all the difference in an outfit. They do not have to be any specific brand but I would say you may want to choose leather instead of plastic ( do they call it pleather?). I would also keep in mind that natural fabrics tend to feel better on you, breath and keep you warm at the same time.

A good trench coat is a great investment. A midseason coat does not get more classic than that. I think a trench looks just as good on a  dress or a skirt as it does on slim jeans or straight pants. You can wear it with wellingtons for a rainy day or with either ballerinas, loafers, heels or sneakers for a day off. It´s great with a shirt and with a pullover. So basically it goes with pretty much everything in your closet except your sweatpants.

A grey cashmere twinset with a pencil skirt and pretty blush ballerinas would be a great and simple office outfit. You could also wear it for tea with friends or for lunch with your grandmother. It´s a true classic and you can always opt for something else than pearls for a younger look. Although I love pearls!

Intarsia sweater

En ole mikään printti t-paitojen suuri ystävä. Mutta neuleista, joihin on kudottu mukaan iso kuva, pidän kovasti.  Hattaralla oli maailman suloisin Ralphin puuvillaneule ihan pikku taaperona. Se oli vaaleanpunainen ja siihen oli aplikoitu pupu. Rakastin sitä neuletta ja Purkkakin toki käytti sitä paljon ja sitten se käärittiin silkkipaperiin ja pakattiin muistojen laatikkoon. Viime vuonna hankin Lontoosta pupuneuleen ja nyt ostin viime viikolla Jacadilta sateenvarjoneuleen. Tässä muutamia kivoja vaihtoehtoja tämän hetken tarjonnasta. Näissä intarsianeuleissa on todella kivoja vaihtoehtoja myös pojille joita valitsin tähän myös mukaan ( kyllä, olen lukenut kommenttejanne ja ymmärrän, että monilla teistä on poikalapsia, joten yritän muistaa valita myös pojille näihin vaatejuttuihinin vaihtoehtoja).

I have always loved pullovers that have cute pictures on them. One of my favourites was a pink Ralph Lauren one Cotton Candy had when she was a baby. It was pink and had a cute bunny on it. Last year I bought the bunny one from Trotters and this year it is an umbrella sweater from Jacadi. I gathered some cute options from the fall collections for you...

Ralph Lauren has these in the collections every time, just the print varies. I love them!

Back to school ensembles

Te ehdittekin jo hieman toivoa, että blogi palaa syksyn mukanaan tuomaan rutiiniin ja tässähän sitä sitten on näitä syysjuttuja ihan kahden päivän edestä heti alkuun. Keräilin pientä inspiraatiota kouluasuista. Meillähän tosiaan esikoinen aloittaa nyt ensimmäisellä luokalla ja kuopus jatkaa vielä päiväkodissa. Nämä asut käyvät molempiin hyvin ( paitsi ei tietenkään päiväkodin pihavaatteiksi, ei meillä sentään mennä ballerinoissa hiekkalaatikolle). Toivottavasti saat myös näistä kokonaisuuksista hieman ideoita syksyn asuihin!

I gathered a few different outfits for school and pre-school. We will not have all of these but we do have some and we have similar outfits in the closet already. I chose some pretty shoes for the outfits because I could but obviously our almost 5 year old does not wear ballerina shoes for the sandbox.

This outfit is from Cyrillus. I like a basic blue jean in a stretchy fabric for kids. This knitted top has a chambray collar and a lovely burnt orange colour.

This dress I have already ordered as it was too perfect to pass ( my favourite for this fall!). It´s a knitted cotton fabric with pretty peter pan collars with a piping. I like it with tights or even socks for warmer weather and ankle booties. This outfit is also from Cyrillus. Bubble Gum has planned on wearing it with her silver cat ear hairband from La Coqueta Kids.
