Falling

I know I know I know we are no where near close enough to Fall for me to even mention it but I´m still going to. Because I found this pretty dress for my big girl and I wanted to share. Every summer when the nights start to get darker and I can count weeks or days to the day (pre)school starts again I start to imagine what the “fall look” will be like. In August the girls often still wear summer clothes to school but the colder fall days always come so suddenly it´s good to be prepared. As a child I used to plan my first day of school outfit weeks before the occasion and my mind still works that way. I´m ahead even though I´m present and enjoying the moment. This fall I see my girls having grown up a lot. Cotton Candy is starting school ( next week!) and I have to admit that even though the passing time always does take me by surprise I know she has grown so much in the past summer and she is more than ready to start that journey. We already chose her first day of school outfit ( a blue Liberty print top from Jacadi with a cotton cardigan and jeans or white shorts if it´s warm and white sneakers). But this one she chose is for the cooler weather and I can imagine her in this dress, knee high socks or tights, the ankle booties we bought and a slouchy beanie on her long hair.

Petit Bateau

Ihania perusjuttuja Petit Bateaulta tälle kesälle. Varsinkin alusvaatteet ja t-paidat ovat meidän ihan suosikkeja, niin pehmeitä ja kestävät uuden näköisinä pesusta toiseen. Tämä merkki on yksi omista suosikeistani vuodesta toiseen!
You all know that Petit Bateau is one of my favourite brands. As a child I used to have my underwear and t-shirts from them and have been happy to keep the tradition going. The quality is fantastic year after year and I love how their styles are such classics I can always find something I love there. They have a little girly and a lot sporty and fresh. If I had a boy I´m pretty sure it would be my number one destination for shopping then too. Here are some new cute basics I bought for the girls from the French Riviera.
This dress is heaven. It´s the summer dress to have!
We have a stack of the white basic t-shirts in both long & short sleeve but these are a favourite of the girls. Luckily they come in a two pack as my girls wear the same size and one´s favourite colour is turquoise and one´s is pink.

Favourite shirt

Tästä Trottersin Liberty kankaisesta paidasta, jonka toin Lontoon tuliaisina, on tullut Hattaran suosikki. Se on suloinen kapeitten farkkujen kaverina ja siihen sopiikin oikeastaan aika monen värinen alaosa. Paita on kiva nyt keväällä ja kesällä, mutta ajattelin sen olevan erityisesti hyvä koulupaidaksi. Se on siisti ja mukava päällä, helppo pukea ja nätti myös neuletakin alla.
I bought Cotton Candy this shirt while we were in London. She really loves it and so do I. It´s very cute with slim jeans ( she wears it with pink, yellow, white, baby blue & turquoise. Practically all the pants we have). I really like the fresh colours for spring! It´s the perfect pre-school shirt as it´s a little preppy and a lot comfortable and easy to maintain ( just a wash & a quick ironing and it´s as good as new). And it will be super cute with shorts for the summer too as it´s lightweight cotton!
