Valentines!

by Sofia   -   in Random

Ensi viikolla on ystävänpäivä, mutta blogi piirtyy jo tällä viikolla entistäkin hempeämmäksi jotta kaikki ideat ovat sitten ensi viikolla toteutusta vaille valmiina. Luvassa on ainakin vähän askartelua ja herkkuja.

This super cute Valentines craft is from Darcy Miller. Find the templates and isntructions on her site.

Next week is Valentines day but we are already celebrating it on the blog this week! Why? So that you get all my cute ideas and have time to execute them before the actual day is here! There will be cake, some crafting and there will be a cute DIY ( with a printable) for kids to give to their friends ( why not yours too). So put on your heart shaped glasses and colour the world in all things pink.

If I could say…

by Sofia   -   in Random

... I bealieve jealousy is a perception that might be changed.

A while back I asked you to leave possible questions and hopes or ideas about the blog for me and I received very good ones indeed. I have already answered several on my blog posts and will continue to do so this year. If yours never gets answered to please don´t be offended. It´s either that I feel the answer feels too private or I may not remember them all in the end. But I will do my best. One was a question about jealousy. If I as a  “privileged” person feel that people are jealous of me. And if so then how do I consider these feelings. And do I think financial or status differences create jealousy.

I quite honestly don´t think people are jealous of me. I hope some might admire some qualities in me like I admire qualities in others. I would like to think I´m a nice and sweet person ( most of the time) and when ever I am with someone I hope I make them feel comfortable and good about themselves around me rather than jealous of me. Obviously the question mentioned that one´s friends or family who´d know your struggles ( as no ones life is void of those), would not be the jealous ones, but ones acquaintances. But yet again I honestly don´t understand why they would be. I have lovely things going on in my life but then again they are lovely from my point of view not necessarily someone else´s.

Poor Sophie

by Sofia   -   in Good things for kids

You all know Sophie la Girafe. Well the good old classic toy has been in the media lately as someone cut theirs in half and found mold inside it ( and youtube filled with videos of others trying the same). I think by now the whole “scandal” has died down a little as it has been established that the teething toy Sophie is not a bath toy and the instructions advice one not to emerge it in water just to clean it by wiping it with a damp cloth.

But it made me think of another Sophie toy I once received in a goodie bag from a blogging event over a year ago. It´s a Sophie bath toy. My girls are kind of “old” to have bath toys but they still do and when we got the Sophie I thought I would save it and maybe give it as a gift to a friend who has a baby at some point. But my girls insisted on having it and it has been in our bathroom since. I really don´t mind it as I like the look of the natural Sophie´s. But to get to my point this Sophie bath toy is great as it does not contain any holes so it does not collect the bath water inside of the toy thus not growing mold as some bath toys do.
