Ihanaa viikonloppua

Onko sinulla viikonlopuksi jotain suunnitelmia? Meillä on saaressa ( taas) rakennusprojekti käynnissä, jonka etenemistä herra Espresso lähtee valvomaan. Tytöt taas ovat menossa lauantaina yökylään kavereille joten, emme voi lähteä mukaan saareen. Näyttää siis siltä, että minulla on lauantaina tiedossa harvinainen ilta ihan vain itsekseni. Mitäköhän kivaa sitä keksisi!
Minulta suositus sinulle, jos et jo ole katsonut sitä, on Murha Sandhamnissa joka näkyy Yle Areenassa. Tämä Ruotsalainen sarja on mielestäni hyvä ja maisemat Tukholman edustan saaristossa ovat niin upeat. Olen itsekin käynyt veneillen Sandhmanissa ja satama-alue pienine punaisine taloineen on todella idyllinen.

The girls seem to have gotten taller in the sunshine and by sleeping until 10 in the morning over the holidays. All their clothes are getting way too small on them. So I sold a lot of the old ones and now we had to get something new. I already found a few pieces on the end of summer sales and some basic jeans just before school started but just ordered these…
On top of these we ordered some basic underwear and t-shirts from Petit Bateau. They are just our favourites year after year. The blouse and jumpers are from Jacadi and the Breton striped Jersey is from Petit Bateau. I really wanted to get some of these comfy and cute looking PB pants too, but our size was already sold out. Bubble Gum loves blouses with collars so the baby blue one will be a great surprise for her as I know she will love it. And she likes wearing simple jumpers on top of her collared Jacadi t-shirts. I already found a navy one from Zara earlier but this cotton jumper was such a pretty colour and I know we will get so much use out of it. It´s the kind you can wear to school but also over your tennis outfit on a cooler day etc. Cotton Candy loves stripes so both the jumper and the jersey will be on regular use for school.

It was there in the air on Sunday morning. After the heavy rain the night before. We saw glimpses of it in the previous week. Even a few fallen leaves on our walk to ballet. But now, now I smelled it and I felt it. Even if the sun came back. Even if it does not look like it today. I can feel it. It´s a mixture of excitement, of comfort and of bittersweet moment of letting go of the long carefree days of summer spent lounging on the cliffs. I don´t mind that, as bittersweet means it has been lovely. And now it´s time for something new. My favourite season is upon us. And I can already feel it making me more energetic. I feel like there is a rhythm that speaks to me. More structured, more organised. It feels more like me. Yet sprinkled with cozy moments. Candles at breakfast, fire in the fireplace at night. It feels quite decadent in a city home. The fireplace is so old. I feel like it tells a story of someone else who has been sitting by it every time we light it up. When we don´t, it´s cold and silent. Evening tea from a tea pot that was heated ahead of being used and then kept under a tea cozy. Autumn is here and I am ready. I have a new tea pot, a new diary, a new book club book and a new basket for the firewood. Let the games begin.
