Frozen Fever
by Sofia - in Good things for kids Shopping
Rakastetaanko teillä kaikkea Disney, Pixar tai muuta vastaavaa lasten elokuvien ja sarjojen oheistavaraa? Tytöt toivovat välillä kovasti mm. Frozen juttuja. Jos olet niinkuin minä ja hahmoihin kietoutuvat tuotteet eivät aina hivele esteettistä silmääsi niin alla olisi suositus todella kivaan värityskirjaan jonka tilasin tytöille Amazonista…
I really like Disney movies and unlike many I have nothing against them. But what I´m not so enthusiastic about is the paraphernalia. Let´s take the Frozen movie for instance. Now the girls dream of having Frozen t-shirts and Frozen scooters and Frozen outfits. And I´m obviously the horrible mom who does not let them. My mother in law is nice enough to indulge them in things like Frozen pj´s on occasion so they do not have to completely go without. But now I found this colouring book that is to all of our liking so I thought I might share. The girls love colouring it together and it has regular Anna & Elsa pictures and all different kinds of Frozen inspired pages. It´s really thick and has plenty to colour.

I love you New York
by Sofia - in Random
Yay! Guess where I am? I left for a work trip in New York! It has been so long since my last time here. It´s unfortunately a very brief trip but at least I get to smell the city air and feel the special rhythm of New York. I hope I´ll be able to catch up properly with my blogging soon before you forget all about me here. So sorry! But in the meanwhile if you’d like you can read my old posts about New York here and here.
Hope you have a great day and I will have a new post for you here tomorrow so pop by if you have time!

p.s. I love the tv show Suits that takes place in New York and we watch it with my friend who is originally a New Yorker ( it´s our secret guilty pleasure). I told her ” Ooh I love New York, I miss it so much and wish I could be there now!” And she said ” Toronto. You mean Toronto.” (They shot the series in Toronto). Those New Yorkers…

French toast and friendship
by Sofia - in Cooking Good things for kids
French Toast is such a great breakfast dish. Obviously not for every day consumption but every now and then as a special treat. Like waffles of pancakes. All you really need is some milk, eggs, butter, cinnamon, sugar and some old bread and you are good to go. Just soak your bread slices in the egg-milk and then roll around in some cinnamon sugar and fry up in a pan in butter. So good. We had ours this Saturday on the nursery floor where we made ourselves a little picnic with strawberries, greek yoghurt and tea. Sometimes food tastes even better when you eat it on the floor or outside. It´s just a bit more special that way.
