Vintage Selection

We are on my favourite subject again. Coffee! One of the good perks of blogging is my collaboration with Nespresso and especially the days when their so called love box arrives at my door by a courier feels very indulgent in just all the right ways. But if anything can make a coffee lover even happier it is when someone seems to have designed a coffee with you in mind. From taste to the look of the capsule. When my husband does our monthly coffee order online ( yes, the love box is just for sampling not for heavy users like me) he always asks for my opinion on tastes and then looks at me firmly ( but with a smirk) and says ” and do NOT just choose the ones with your favourite colours on them”. So with this limited edition selection vintage I can do just both. The capsules are a pretty pink with a sort of a vintage champagne cork feel to the design. They were aged for 3 years in optimum circumstances like the right lighting & humidity. The intensity level is 7 ( of 12) which I like even for my frothed milk laced drinks. It has a smooth & elegant velvety texture ( as described on the box too). I told you, designed for me. Try and see for yourself.

If I could say…

I have a few younger followers on my blog too which I´m thrilled about. Young women on both sides of 20. Ladies who may not have their own families yet ( I´m so glad you are following my blog although I keep on babbling about kids a lot). I would love to be a sort of a “role model” or inspiration through my blog as well as for my own little girls. Obviously I would like all generations of women to be inspired by a ladylike way of life ( not mine but in general). But maybe not in a way you may think.

Winter gear

Kun koulut olivat vielä lomalla ja ulkona oli kauniin lumista, kuvasin yhtenä päivänä Hattaran tämän talven asua pihalla. Hankimme sen asun jota pohdiskelinkin syksymmällä blogissa joten mitään uutta ja yllättävää tässä ei ole. Olen ollut tosi tyytyväinen asuun, samoin Hattara itse. Me olemme pitäneet Ver de Terrestä kovasti jo useamman vuoden, mutta Reimaa meillä oli ensimmäistä kertaa ja taidan ostaa sieltä talvihousut tytöille ensikin vuonna. Hinta ja laatu kyllä kohtasivat tässä tuotteessa. Nyt muuten nuo Ver de Terret ovat alennuksessa tuolla Little Copenhagenissa josta meidän takkimme on. Kävimme jo ostamassa Hattaralle hieman erilaisen talvitakin ensi vuodeksi. Pikkusisko saa sitten tämän ihanuuden. Jotta Purkka ei saisi ihan kaikkea käytettynä niin löysin hänelle Popin alesta todella kivan tummansinisen kuorihaalarin välikausikeleille irrotettavalla fleece vuorella. Se on täydellinen päiväkodin pihalle kevääksi ja syksyksi ja menee varmasti fleece vuorella alkutalvenkin, varsinkin jos ilmat ovat yhtä lämpimät kuin tähänkin mennessä. Ystävälle hankittiin samanlainen haalari kun tytöt tykkäävät usein ” samistella” päiväkodissa. Nekin olivat nyt puoleen hintaan.

I was home with Cotton Candy on a nice wintery and snowy day and we took some photos of her winter gear in action. Bubble Gum has been wearing her light pink Ver de Terre overall ( from here) with a cashmere cap & Moon Boots in the same colour. I love navy blue gear and would have bought it for both if I had found something I´d loved, but there is something overly adorable in a five year old on a very white winter day in a powder pink combo. (We did find Bubble Gum a navy blue mid season outfit on the Polarn O. Pyret sale I´m super happy about) . This outfit that Bubble Gum has is the same I wondered about on the blog earlier this year. We found the coat in Little Copenhagen that has plenty of lovely things for kids. They have an extensive collection of Petit Bateau and we have bought really great merino woollen underwear ( long johns etc.) and helmet hats there too. We actually bought next years winter coat for Cotton Candy on sale now too so next winter is settled for the girls now except for pants.
