Onnen aiheita

by Sofia   -   in Random

Have a happy weekend!

by Sofia   -   in Random

Guess what? My holiday starts tomorrow. My official holiday from work. I only work part time so it may seem as I have been on holiday the whole summer ( and in all honesty it´s felt like that too) but now I´m really off for 3 whole weeks. The daycare, school and hobby season is already starting in Finland and Bubble Gum´s first ever ballet class is in a few weeks so we can not spend the whole time on the island. But I still plan to enjoy my holiday to the fullest. Little travels are in the plans too. So for the month of August things here on the blog are still a little more slow paced and posts will be coming only a few times a week.  Bare with me. Fall will arrive and the blog will return back from holiday mode too… eventually. In the meanwhile if you are looking for something to read this weekend here are some links to old posts on the blog…

Ice-cream parlour would be a perfect party theme for the summer season.

Feel like baking? These marbled raspberry cheesecake cup cakes are enjoyed cold so they are great for the summery days too.

Silly little things

by Sofia   -   in Random

Although I love life on the island, the slow moving schedule and the fresh air -no make up thing, I sometimes start to miss the pretty little things of city life. Putting nice bows on the girls hair and getting them dressed in pretty summer dresses and ballerina shoes. I miss heels and cute lipsticks and nail polishes, pink flowers and long bubble baths with scented candles and running water to take showers under in the mornings. I must admit I love these silly little things just as much as I love the country life. I know how lucky I am to get to have both of these sides in my life. During July we have made a few quick visits to the city and I have made the most of them with sashimi, sparkling wine and cocktails with a friend one night and dressing up a little nicer just to go out for a casual dinner with mr. Espresso or just sipping on our cappuccinos and babyccinos and nibbling little pastries on a terrace of a café  in pretty dresses with my baby girls. You know the sort of thing one might want to indulge in after running wild for some time. Don´t you just love these kinds of superficial and silly but pretty little things?
